Concrete base for speaker or lamp - Molding form
Description
I needed a a concrete base for my speaker stand which I build from a 40cm long 3/4 inch pipe and a matching flange. The seize of the base is 18 x 18 x 7 cm and it'll weight 3,5 - 4,0 kg depending on the concrete you're using. I printed the outer molding form from PLA. The inlay works best if you print it from TPU, because it'll be easier to remove but it'll also work if you print it from PLA. It's just a bit harder to remove. Anyhow it can't be guaranteed that both parts of the molding form will survive the demolding procedure. I made two stands in total so far. The first time I had to completely destroy the molding form to get the mold out, the second time it came out perfectly without even scratching the form. Don't ask me why. No matter what you do, don't forget to lube the molding form or it'll be nearly impossible to removie the mold in on piece.
