Nerf Takedown Pump Grip (Glue on solution)

Nerf Takedown Pump Grip (Glue on solution)

Description

This is a better pump grip for the Nerf TAKEDOWN than the stock one. You print both sides and glue it onto the original grip (I used epoxy). There are two boreholes right over where the two screws in the original grip are so you will still be able to unscrew them in order to open up the shell (make sure to align them before you glue!). Also make sure not to glue both printed parts on each other or you won't be able to unscrew the grip. Why did I make this? The original grip sucked. When I put a K25 into my TAKEDOWN the grip sucked even more.* The original design of this pump grip is ehdrien's. I printed his Kronos Shotgun Parts to make a RIVAL SHOTGUN and I liked it a lot. So I thought, if Nerf is releasing its own shotgun reshell of the KRONOS, it should have ehdrien's pump grip. I just modified the design to make it fit onto the stock pump grip. Why is it a glue on solution? Because the original grip is way smoother on the inside than any 3d printed grip could be. So this mod combines the awesome ergonomics of a 3d printed outside structure with the smoothness of an injection molded slide mechanism. In addition this pump grip doesn't make that croaking sound 3d printed pump grips usually make when priming. '* Initially I left one of the yellow locks inside, the one that looks a little like a C which is responsible for preventing the trigger from being used when the breech is not in the forward position. When I was priming the TAKEDOWN, for the last couple of millimeters it was really hard to pull the grip back to the point where the spring catch engages. After I had removed that particular lock, priming was way easier. Maybe the lock interferred with the plunger or maybe it was totally coincidental. But if you run into the same problem with a stronger than stock spring, maybe this helps.
