Eyedrop Guide

Eyedrop Guide

Description

Hi, I'm mortyfied! A really great (and super easy to print) eye drop guide was shared with me by a member of the World Glaucoma Association’s Patient Committee (WGPC, see https://www.worldgpa.org/patient-resources/helpful-products-technology-and-services/ ). They asked me to share the relevant files here on thingiverse and anywhere else where people can access it. The text below comes from the WGPC: free too distribute "Eyedrop*Printguide is a public domain design of an eye drop guide that could be freely downloaded and 3D-printed rapidly and inexpensively anywhere in the world. There is a great need around the globe. 70+ million mainly elderly glaucoma patients worldwide require lifelong administering of very expensive drops in their eyes, which may be difficult to administer, especially for an older person; otherwise they might go blind. Many patients can’t do it easy; hence more than half just stop using drops within 6 months of prescription. Simple tools could improve administering and reduce drop spillage, currently estimated at 70%!" However this neat little print is not exclusive to glaucoma patients. ANYONE who uses eye drops and feels that this could benefit them or a friend is free too distribute and share this design. IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER BELOW ****Disclaimer: It is your own responsibility to ascertain the safety of the Eyedrop*Printguide design. It does not come with any technical, medical or safety warranty whatsoever. Consult your own medical expert or health practitioner to ensure that it is safe and beneficial for your own use and use of other patients that might need this guide.**** If you have modified this design under the Creative Commons - Attribution - Non-Commercial - Share Alike license (i.e., for various face features, for small children, for different sizes and kinds of bottles, or for central or peripheral loss of vision in the eye); or if you have translated the documentation to various languages, or placed original or modified Guide design on other services or servers, please notify WGPC at https://www.worldgpa.org/about-us/contact-us/, so it could also provide links to your new designs to the benefit of glaucoma patients worldwide. Note: This thing is a work in progress. I'm currently working with the WGPC to modify and improve the design. Please feel free to message me with any comments or questions :)
