Quadcopter Peripheral Electronics Mount - CUSTOMISABLE
Description
Keep those top plates CLEAN! Get your peripherals mounted down on top of the stack, without needing to be secured to a blank carbon plate or the flight controller(!) with cable ties. Make replacing the top plate or removing it for maintenance a more-pleasant experience, without the need to cut cable ties or be wary of UHB tape and wires! This mount was designed for use in RC quadcopters, but may have other applications. Customisable to suit the end-user's specific dimensional requirements, this mount facilitates easy securing of non-stackable items such as receivers and video transmitters to the top of the stack. Tweak the parameters in Customizer! I have designed this using OpenSCAD, in order to facilitate tweaking of key parameters so that the end-user can get exactly what they require. PARAMETERS: pouch_gap = The pouch gap in millimetres. Must be a positive value. standoff_bolt_diameter = The diametre of the bolt or threaded part of a standoff spacer in the stack, in millimetres. Must be a positive value. standoff_surround_thickness = The thickness of print that will surround the bolt/thread to form the clasp, in millimetres. Recommended value of 1.2. Must be a positive value. standoff_spacing = The spacing of the standoffs that the mount will grab, centre to centre, in millimetres. Must be a positive value. riser_height = Use this value to produce risers or "legs" on the mount. Set at zero if not required. This can be useful for raising above connectors/sold pads on the flight controller. Riser height in millimetres. pouch_extension_length = Use this value to extend the length of the pouch. Set at zero if not required. Pouch extension in millimetres.
