Levitating Space X Starship Lamp
Description
Print and build your own levitating Space X Starship lamp! The entirety of this build can be found on my YouTube video where I walk you through the process step by step... typing it all out here would take forever. You can also find all of the links to the items I used in the YouTube video description. Just right click the video and "watch on YouTube" to access the description. In a nutshell you have a few main components... 1. Starship model... (I suggest printing in spiral vase mode... even in low infill mode it will be too top heavy and fall over... plus then the thrusters won't fit in the bottom of a solid model). Use a silk silver PLA for that stainless steel look. 2. The base / landing pad... use some kind of translucent/transparent PLA on the smoke plume to maximize the amount of light passing through. I provided files to construct it from two halves top and bottom, or four parts top and bottom for those of you with various size printers. I would print the landing pad in a solid color. As for hardware, you will mainly need only a few types of screws... 1. Flat head #4 x 1/2" 2. Flat head #4 x 1/4" Glue gun + super glue will stick everything else together. If you don't want to go the whole distance and make the coin cell holder for LED thrusters you dont have to. Just print the magnet holder (thrusters.stl) and the Starship model will sit on top of that no problem. If you have any questions, best way to get a hold of me is through YouTube comments section. Enjoy!
