Pendulum Clock
Description
I've always been fascinated by clocks. Having a 3D printer gave me the opportuntiy to toy around with clock design and even learn a bit. This clock is the result of dissecting many different designs done by other (more knowledable) people, This clock has a runtime of 16-18 hours before rewinding. I'm pretty sure I could double that with a change in the weight gear. Something to do in the future. I included assembly instructions in a pdf document. UPDATE 10/30/2020 After 8 months of operation, I realize that the original method of attaching the pendulum (with a two piece 'slip fit' fork) was not a very good idea. Over time, the 'slip-fit' became a 'too-loose-fit' causing the beat of the escapement (the tick-tock) to be inconsistant and difficult (or impossible) to adjust. I've replaced the two piece design with a one piece solid part (file '11A-Pendulum_Fork_Solid.stl') and updated the assembly PDF (see page 29). Working much better now.
