Geeetech A20M Hot-end Backplate and Parts Cooler Combo

Geeetech A20M Hot-end Backplate and Parts Cooler Combo

Description

This all started because I was having a problem with hot-end 0 completely clogged and even after it was unclogged it was never the same still under extruding, also always chasing stringing and it was going to take months to get one from China and I didn't want to wait so I went with a after market hotend so since nobody make anything aftermarket for Geeetech (at least for this) so here we are I designed this back plate to bolt right up to the A20M, I also remixed the Parts cooler to fit with a 30mm and a 40mm fan version. -Update 10/30/20 I started printing with carbon fiber PTEG and found it is a lot stronger and higher heat than carbon fiber PLA I know there have been some people stating that the parts cooler can break easily I personally haven't had much of a problem with that (I did have a print go south and catch a arm and break) but I have not had an issue with it and I can see how that can happen so I do suggest carbon fiber PETG filament for the added strength, I have also changed my parts cooler fan to a 24V 40X10mm to a 24V 40X20mm to get a little more airflow. Over all I have been printing with this setup for a while now and love the setup! (updated pictures above) -Update 2/20/20 - Added a 40mm Fan version of the parts cooler. -Update 3/8/20 Added the spacers for the top screws of the hotend. -Update 3/15/20 Updated the backplate spent a little more time with the cutout in the middle for the fan. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07WWT9SXM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0084ZNAU0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/WINSINN-Hydraulic-Bearing-Brushless-30x10mm/dp/B087TBB8YV https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07WFL6944/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07RFC8KNX/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Print settings I used S3D with .1200 layer, 100% infill, with supports I found that a 20% rotation back helps and add supports to the front fan area I added pictures. -I do have to say the print quality is insanely better no more stringing at all!! -Also note this hotend is not mixing just two color, I never used mixing anyway Bigtreetech also does make a mixing hotend that should bolt up to the backplate but the parts cooler is untested if someone does try with the mixing hotend let me know if it works please. you will need a few M3 screws and M3 nuts (sorry I don't remember all the sizes (Ace hardware is your friend for that) also will need 3X 24V 30X10 fans or 2X 30mm and 1X40mm fan for the parts cooler... I do suggest the 40X20mm fan version for the parts cooler.
