Ender 5 Plus modular electronics box "The Pizza Box"
Description
This is just to put the project out there as I'm just starting to model it. For goals (some already revised somewhat) check my VERY crudely drawn concept picture. This two part modular case will sit on the frame of the Ender 5 Plus and will allow you to fit different mainboards and other accessories like Raspberry PI's, MOSFET's, bucket converters etc inside the front housing with cooling slots available. Accessories will be mounted on dedicated brackets that will in turn mount to a generic pattern of mounting holes in the bottom (also doubling as vents). The back housing will hold various PSUs and cabling Mainboards and Raspberries will be mounted on sleds sliding in from the front and giving full access to all the ports. LCDs will have form fitting housings sitting on top of the front case, again allowing access to all ports like SD cards and USB. Naturally, it being modular, you will be able to mix-and-match your options. The two halves will secure together through the walls and by shared feet (for stability) underneath. MOSFET TH3D MOSFET Raspberry Pi 3/4 EZABL Pro LCDs Creality Ender 5 Plus stock BigTreeTech TFT35 E3 v3.0 PSUs: Cheng Liang P500W24V (Stock PSU) Mean Well SE-450-24 (TH3D replacement PSU) Mean Well RSP-500-24 I will add additional items as per request once the core is done as long as I can get the exact dimensions.
