Anet A8 Mirrored Titan Aero Mount with BLTouch
Description
I wanted to retain the wire chains I had installed, but there were no Titan Aero Mounts that I could find that used the chains. Also, because I wanted to keep the chain, I wanted to keep the stepper on the right side of the extruder assembly. That's why this is made for the mirrored Titan Aero. I eventually will make standard (not mirrored) versions of all these parts, but it will require rework of every part so it will be a while. The chain adapter and part fan are mounted to the back side of the stepper. To do this you will need to swap the stepper motor screws for longer ones. I used m3x35mm hex socket screws I already had on hand. I've tried to credit all that I got inspiration from for all the different features of this hot end set. Another goal was to get the BLTouch as close to the hot end as I could without making it to difficult to add. The BLTouch mount also incorporates the idea of a fan deflector to keep the hot end fan from blowing forward and down and can be used as an add on for any mirrored titan aero. The main mount has slightly slotted holes to account for slight variances in Anet A8 X carriage spacing. They could be further slotted if you have a spacing that is much different than the 44.5mm spacing (mine is closer to 44.75, hence the slots). All parts are saved in what I found to be the best orientation for strength and ease of printing. The fan duct and the chain adapter WILL need supports. I used supports touching build plate only. I printed all parts in MatterHackers Build PETG with .2mm layer height. Any questions feel free to ask. Any issues let me know so I can make adjustments or help you figure a solution. Thanks for stopping by!
