MK3S Nozzle RHD Rev. C Remixed

MK3S Nozzle RHD Rev. C Remixed

Description

This is a tweaked version of the **excellent** [MK3 Nozzle RHD Rev. C](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3249344) by [RH_Dreambox](https://www.thingiverse.com/RH_Dreambox) fitted for the stock MK3S extruder and optimized for FDM slicing with PrusaSlicer/Slic3r. Besides offering superior part cooling (esp. for low airflow), it also avoids blowing directly on the heatblock, allowing for sustained higher temperature printing on the MK3S. Update 2014-04-20: - Added 0.4mm washer to improve blower lifespan RH_Dreambox released a ["CS" version](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4124587) for the MK3S, but the internal structure is not actually identical. You should consider using the "CS" version if you don't want to reprint the front extruder cover. Being extremely pleased with the original and not willing to risk anything, I went ahead by tweaking his "C" version directly. This shroud keeps the same internal structure and blower angle. The attachment has been changed to fit a modified front extruder cover (included here) which has a different mounting point for the bracket (balancing weight) and also removes the useless side arm. Similarly to my [previous remix for the MK3/BMG](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4054462), there are several tweaks to the outlet vents and inner vane to fix slicing issues with PrusaSlicer. Parts of the outer structure have been furthermore carved to reduce weight. Assembly: Removing the extruder cover is quick and easy. No extra parts are required (we use existing screws and nuts). The extruder cover, bracket and optional 2x washers can be printed in PETG. The shroud itself should be printed in a heat-resistant material at 0.2 or 0.15 layers. - Unscrew and remove the two blower screws - Slide off the blower - Unscrew and remove the bracket itself - Unscrew the two side-front screws on the Noctua fan - The old shroud will now come off - Unscrew the two long M3 screws on the front extruder cover (just under the extruder motor) - Slide-off the screws and remove the old front extruder cover - Move the thin square nut from the extruder cover (top side hole) to the new extruder cover - Place the new extruder cover and insert/screw the long M3 screws - Screw the top-left screw on the Noctua fan (the side should be flush, but be careful to avoid overtightening!) - Move the thin square nut from the old shroud and place it into the new - Place the new shroud in position and then screw the bottom-left screw on the Noctua fan until the shroud is solidly in place (no tilting!) - Move the M3 nuts from the old bracket to the new bracket (push the M3 nuts fully to the bottom) - Tighten the new bracket on the front cover using the existing short M3 screw - Slide the blower into position - Recommended: place the two thin M3 washers (0.4mm) between the blower and the bracket to avoid flexing the blower casing (avoids pushing the central part of the blower which is protruding) - Screw the two long M3 screws on the blower (do not overtighten!)
