Ultimate bed stiffener for Tronxy X1
Description
This is **the ultimate fix** for TronXY X1's wobbly bed. Using the printed nut/hub you can easily tweak the tension of the single v-slot wheel on the bed, therefore cancelling any play or wobble of the assembly. - First, print the nut/hub. - The hole through the hub is 4.2 mm in diameter. It's meant to receive an M5 thread. Thread it using an M5 screw tap. - Next you have to disassemble the bed and remove it from the printer. Nothing unusual here. - In the base plate (the one three wheels are attached to): - There are two wheels on one side of the v-slot rail and one on the other side. Remove (unscrew) the single wheel. - Enlarge (drill) the hole for the removed wheel to 10 mm. - Affix a v-slot wheel into the printed hub using an M5 screw (the conical side to the wheel). - Put the hub with a wheel into the drilled 10 mm hole in the base plate. - Put a large M5 washer (outer diameter > 10mm) and a M5 nut on the screw and tighten by hand only. - Put the base plate on the v-slot rail of the printer. - Using a 12 mm wrench carefully turn the hex part of the printed hub to cancel any play in the base plate assembly. - Now tighten the M5 nut using a 8 mm wrench. - Reassembly the bed and re-adjust levelling. - Enjoy better prints!
