Sliding Screen or Patio Door Safety and Security Latch
Description
I made this to keep my patio door shut since my kids are old enough to figure out the regular latch and I don't want them running off into the woods. It is much more visually appealing than the stick that most people put in their patio door trackway for added security and a lot harder to bypass (an inventive baddie can bypass the standard patio door security wood with a coathanger or a skinny tree branch). These could also be placed on windows if you have older style ones that have less secure latch mechanisms. Installs easily with two screws (#8x1" wood screws). Printed at 75% fill and 5 walls everywhere, this latch isn't going anywhere.
