Elegoo Mars fume exhaust Remix for Mini Heater Mod
Description
Final Update 2/28/2020. Enforced the heater holder with thicker walls. Please remove the files you have and re-download them for the final complete build. Let me know if you run into issue.Tolerances are close, I left a little play for fitment. This original design( https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4126278) by @ Minimax is perfect but I wanted to add 2 things so I could install a heater in hopes to print with Siraya Tech Blu resin. What I really like about this design, 1. Can exhaust odor 2. Raises the cover up to get the full z height when doing tall prints. 3. Its a solid simple build that can fit on my Ender 3 bed and requires little to no supports. What I added to this design, 1st - Added Block-Off Plates for the vents as I want to use this as a riser, and when I get setup more, I can then take them off and its ready to vent with the duct. Also want to add a heater to help keep temps inside cover around 25~30c 2nd - Added a heater vent hole for the Mini heater mod on the Rear Panel. Also added a hole to fit thermostat though. Added the Mini Heater Holder that snaps into Rear Panel, ( I think it works? will update when I test.. still printing) I added the Cura Project if you would like to add it to Cura and modify print settings. This print took 19.5 hours with 3 shells, 120mm/s, 10% infill , 1.2 mm retraction at 35mm/s. (using skr mini v1,2, bmg extruder, e3d v6 hotend in a direct drive configuration with dual zrods and pancake stepper mounted on a the bmg/e3dv6 petfang combob. Printed in eSUN PLA+ at 210c/80c I used this design to make the Heater mount on the rear panel- Heater mod cover by @ Yayyohh : https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4009868 Heater mod: ~ $30 USD - This is by far the most simple heater hack I have found, and it works great! Siraya tech needs to print at no less then 25c. Below is the solution. Heater: $13 usd https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07573FKSG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s01?creativeASIN=B07573FKSG&linkCode=w61&imprToken=8yAYGtuoLD2dLwgW8OLW.w&slotNum=0&ie=UTF8&psc=1&tag=tv-auto-20 Heater Controller: $17 usd https://www.amazon.com/OPULENT-SYSTEMS-Controller-Germination-Temperature/dp/B07R76NT3R/ref=sr_1_12?creativeASIN=B07R76NT3R&linkCode=w61&imprToken=8yAYGtuoLD2dLwgW8OLW.w&slotNum=1&keywords=heat+mat+thermostat&qid=1578589548&sr=8-12&tag=tv-auto-20 How I use Mini Heater Mod: Simply plug the controller into power outlet, set your temp to 25c~30c , then the Mini Heater plugs into the controllers 12v port to get power. Controller has a thermostat built in that you feed into your printer cover. When the inside temperature hits the set temperature on the controller, the controller kills power to the heater until it drops below the set temperature. Been working well for me. Will upload pics at some point of the finished print. Note: Mini Heater Mod. Use at your own Risk , I will not be accountable for any malfunctions or damages if this solution does not work for you.
