Philips Hue Play - 45 Degree Ceiling Mount

Philips Hue Play - 45 Degree Ceiling Mount

Description

I wanted to hang my Philips Hue Play lights upside down in my media niche and cast the light at a 45 degree angle. The included mounting brackets didn't accommodate my needs so I thought this would be a great first project to learn how to use Fusion 360. I designed the part in two pieces. The light bracket and the wall mount. The bracket connects to the light and then slides into the mount. I also designed (and included) a mounting template so you can easily mark the holes for the wall mount. This helps make installation and alignment quick, easy and consistent if you plan to install many of these within close proximity of each other as I did. I recommend keeping the layers at .2mm or less to assure the pieces slide on and off each other. I put some clearance between them but if you go higher then .2mm you might run into some issues. I recommend a raft and supports as well. Hope this solves a problem for you. Let me know how it turns out if you print it. Would love to see your pictures so be sure to share them! -The Mad Hermit
