Quarter Inch Laminate or Vinyl Plank Wall Spacer
Description
These spacers will help you get that manufacturer recommended 1/4" gap all the way around your floating floor. Some floors may be different but the rigid vinyl plank flooring I've looked at from Home Depot and Floor & Decor specifies 1/4" for expansion. Designed to be easily printable without supports or infill. The walls are 2.4mm thick to be easily divisible by a .4mm nozzle. I printed both batches with a .4mm nozzle and a .8mm or .79mm extrusion width print the walls 3 passes per layer; it worked great. They are designed to accommodate a variety of plank thicknesses. The minimum plank thickness I think would work is 5.5mm which is the minimum thickness I saw in stores. Thicker planks should work just fine. I printed mine in PETG because that's what I had loaded into the printer. They're just spacers, I imagine they'd work in just about any filament. I printed 8 at a time because that easily fits on my print bed. They should work like these: https://www.amazon.com/Laminate-Flooring-Hardwood-Floating-Installation/dp/B07WS2LPHJ/ Check out the Amazon review pictures to get an idea for how they work.
