25mm to 30mm fan adapter (with ESC mount)
Description
This is a rough OBJ for a basic raised mount for an ESC with an open bottom and an adapter to place a 30mm fan on a 25mm heat sink. There are no holes in the design for screws so if you want to drill your own holes I suggest a higher infill rate of 50-75% as this design uses only a small amount of material anyway. I mounted it using double-sided foam tape cut into thin strips and placed them along the flat edges of the pieces (four on top of the fan mount to hold the fan down, four along the flat part of the ESC mount to hold the ESC, and two along the longer sides of the legs of the ESC mount to hold it to the car body). There are three variations of the FAN mount and it is designed to mount without screws to the heatsink. If it's requested I can add a version that has tabs for screws but I designed the fins along the bottom to be pushed down into two slats of the ESC heat sink rather than screw it. One version also has a slit to push the wires in so they are not trapped or damaged if you screw the fan down. I did not do this on the other two as I mounted the fan using foam tape which gave me the clearance I needed for the wires and less area for air to sneak in other than via the fan. If you want to add it just cut it after you print or tinkercad a slit in it. The slit is around 1.1 mm wide. One version has 2 mm wide slates at the outer edges of the fan mount. One version has a 2 mm and a 1mm slate so that if you need to put it slightly off-center you can. One version has 2mm wide slats where one is flush with the outside of the fan mount and the other is offset on the inside of the fan mount.
