SNES Super Scope Wall Mount
Description
I was looking for an alternative to my Super Scope sitting upright in the corner as it has been doing for years. There are some other nice options on thingiverse, and [SNESCUBE64](https://www.thingiverse.com/SNESNESCUBE64/)'s [Super Scope Wall Mount Bracket](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2428929) in particular appealed to me. Upon further thought, it wasn't 100% what I had in mind, though. I wanted to be able to hang up the Super Scope with a single bracket and prevent it sliding around in the hanger. Playing around with finding its center of gravity both with and without batteries (don't keep the batteries in long term - it's a massive pain to get in there to clean those contacts!), it turned out it needed to be supported right around the thumb-hold. This made it a little bit challenging to get the dimensions correct, but did accomplish both goals. I also decided that although I use the sight installed on the opposite side, for aesthetics, I wanted the Super Scope's screw holes to face the wall rather than outward. Gave it a bunch of intersecting curved surfaces as a matter of style as well trying to keep non-functional volume to a minimum. Save a few cm of filament for the next project, right?! Anyway, I hope you like it. Hangs with two #8 screws, 1" apart vertically. I'm thinking when the weather warms up I may try to dress it up a bit by spraying it silver and adding some other embellishments. As it is, it's totally functional and I'm pretty happy with it.
