Longboard Wheel Guard v2 97mm
Description
I noticed that the original mud guard splashed a lot of water towards the middle of the boards underside where the battery was located. I decided to make a remix and add an extra "wall" on the inside and also make the guard 180 degrees to better prevent water/mud from flying onto the battery. The "wall" is 25mm tall to accommodate direct drive motors. The motors I'm using have a diameter of about 65mm. Another change I made was to make the "nut holder" 13mm wide (like a standard skateboard nut) when I found out the hard way that my nut didn't fit the original design. The original version is only 12.5mm wide but has worked for others, still not sure why it didn't work for me! This version matches an M8 AKA 13mm AKA 1/2 inch nut perfectly! Also added a very small protrusion for the part that rubs against the bearings to minimize friction. The width of the guard between the nut and the bearing is 2.6mm. ONLY REMIXED THE 97mm VERSION!
