hands-free door toe hook (ver. 1.2)
Description
Join the fight against the pandemic! One of the most common site of transmission is door knob. Lever knob helps because you can use your elbow, but you still need to pull the door (if you have round knob, you can compromise by temporarily disabling the latch using tape). The model is a very simple implementation of door pulling "toe-hook" attachment that is meant to aid in hands-free opening/closing of door. You can use painter's tape (see photo) to attach the hook temporarily. The hook is designed for 31.4mm thickness door, printed on Prusa Mini with default PLA setting. You can easily adjust for the door thickness in your slicer scaling*** (UPDATE v1.2+: you can now use customizer for OpenSCAD). *** If you have Z mm thickness door, you can scale the model by (z mm) / (31.4 mm). e.g., you have 35.2 mm thick door at bottom, 35.2/31.4 = scale by 1.12x v1.2: finished customizable OpenSCAD version! You can now adjust for door thickness. v1.1: added chamfered edge for comfort and ease of taping to the door. Added optional screw hole.
