Description
Ultimaker Original is well built quality machine with unique Ultimaker kinematics and with heaps of upgrade capabilities, unfortunately UMOs "latest" firmware is some 7 years old "Marlin v1 RC1"... Good luck getting something like TMC stepper drivers or BL touch working and in general taking advantage of all the new features Marlin v2 brings. So here you go, upgrade your UMO to Marlin v2 by simply uploading precompiled .hex via Cura or take advantage of compiling it yourself and include all the features you want. To roll back to stock v1 firmware simply do "check for updates" from Cura. Marlin-2.0.8.1-UMO.hex - Stock or 2004 Smart Controller LCD Marlin-2.0.8.1-UMO-12864.hex - with so called "Full Graphics LCD" ### Enabled little 4pin header next to the LCD connector for ESP3D module or GPIO OctoPrint. For ESP3D you need 5V tolerant board like NodeMCU, do not use little ESP01 unless wired correctly. For Pi you'll have to use external PSU or wire in buck converter hence 5V pin on UMO will not provide enough AMP even for PiZero.
