Parametric container with threaded lid and optional seal -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The OpenSCAD file (Parametric_can+lid+seal.scad) allows to create customizable containers with threaded lid and optional: - seal - knurling on the lid - text on the lid The needed dimensions are specified in the attached pdf file (parametric_can+lid+seal-dimensions.pdf) The seal is a tight fit, but is designed to create leakproof containers. Additional libraries ------------------------- The provided SCAD file needs two additional libraries: - Nut Job library from mike_mattala (Nut_Job.scad needed): https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:193647 - Chamfer library from SebiTimeWaster (Chamfer.scad needed): https://github.com/SebiTimeWaster/Chamfers-for-OpenSCAD Additionally, the knurling is based on the library from M_D_K, but no files are needed: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3673637/files Attention ------------ - The "Preview" function of OpenSCAD does not always show the correct models, use the "Render" function - Depending on the computer and the resolution settings, the "Render" can take some minutes Examples -------------- Can and lid were printed with different colors of PLA, the seal with TPU on a Creality Ender 3 Pro. All of them where leak-proofed and passed the test. The files for the black container are added as an example: - SCAD: Thread-Lid-Seal_Example.scad - Can: example-can.stl - Lid: example-lid.stl - Seal: example-seal.stl - Combined: example-can-lid-seal.stl
