Snorkel Mask Air Inlet Adaptor to connect to standard hospital ventilator filters

Description

This adaptor allows you to connect a Mountdog or Decathlon snorkel masks to standard air filters used in ventilator circuits in hospitals. This connector was inspired by the ones designed by [Isinnova][1]. Instead of using positive air pressure, this design simply connects a filter to the mask. This allows surgeons and hospital staff to protect against infection whilst performing surgery on high-risk individuals. There are a number of filters available, please make sure you use the correct filter for your application. It is per design to have the wearer breathe in and out through this airway. The specific snorkel mask does however have a one-way valve to let air *out*. It may be required to block this valve up in case debris gets trapped in the valve's membrane that would render it ineffective and open to let air in.
