DJI Ryze Tello rebuilt to foldable design

DJI Ryze Tello rebuilt to foldable design

Description

I wanted to use my tello as a traveller drone, so I rebuilt it to a foldable design. The basic Tello body is a very nice design, so I have not modified that (I have taken the top cover away). I cut the arms and made an "outer chassi" with foldable arms. Total weight with battery 109 grammes. On top have I mounted two ½ wave length pcb antenna strips. There is a long and a short version of the top plate. The long version is for those who want to mount a Xiaomi Mi usb repeater on the top to increase the drone range. It is slightly difficult to take the battery out if you have thick fingers, so I also included a small tool for that purpose. I have used PLA. Thing to be careful with (easy done mistakes): - If you open the Tello and lift the main board, you must first disconnect the camera ribbon cable contact - In the very rear legs is it not power cables that goes in direction to motors but shielded cables to the antennas. The antennas are in the back feets - The cables to the motors are very thin. A better solution than mine is needed to make a durable design
