IC Leg Straightener for ICs 306 to 328 and ICs 624 to 640
Description
This IC leg straightener has 2 sides. The thin face is for IC 306 (.300 "and 6 legs) to 328 (.300" and 28 legs). The large face is for the IC 624 (0.600 "and 24 legs) to 640 (0.600" and 40 legs). How to assemble: use 4 M3x30 screws and 4 M3 nuts. The springs are taken from pen no longer writing. I cut the spring to the exact length, with wire cutters, then reform the seat of the spring by slightly twisting the cut part, in several places, with flat pliers. How to use: place the IC on the side corresponding to its spacing and hand tighten the 2 outer parts against the IC. The legs will then be well placed to insert it into the IC support, for example, or to also realign the legs. The greater the number of legs, the more it must be tightened. Good use.
