150g Front Flipper Battlebot
Description
Front Flipper Robot. This is a 150g combat robot. Very simple build that doesn't require many extra tools. I'm attaching the .STEP file as well for those who want to edit and modify. This is designed to fight nondestructive robots. Flippers, hammers, wedges, etc. You will need to modify a bit for full combat and add 0.5mm titanium wedges for example. Assembly tricks: You can use a paper clip to attach the flipper to the servo arm and cut off the excess after its bent. However tapping the servo arm to accept an M2 bolt is ideal. The lego hub has tolerances to printed easily on my printer and be a snug fit, but attaching a tighter tolerance version in case you need it. I use #3 for the top brace and wedges **Hardware** - 3qty M3x12 https://www.amazon.com/s?k=m3x12+button+head&crid=281FDQW6M6BZJ&sprefix=m3x12+button+h,aps,214&linkCode=sl2&tag=eman04d-20&linkId=1a918eb2cff431d7274b84f3e42d7524&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl - 1qty M2 x12 https://www.amazon.com/s?k=m2x12+button+head&linkCode=ll2&tag=eman04d-20&linkId=dd3d1c06983b19322db925ad2d6bae3d&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl - Small Zip Ties https://www.amazon.com/TR-Industrial-TR88302-Multi-Purpose-Cable/dp/B01018DB2E?dchild=1&keywords=small%2Bzip%2Bties&qid=1622398778&sr=8-4&th=1&linkCode=ll1&tag=eman04d-20&linkId=eba98506db4be6c9f8d378a7199f7d47&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl - Paper Clip - Hot Glue/Superglue - 3-24 Plastite Screws https://www.amazon.com/Stainless-Rolling-Plastic-Passivated-Phillips/dp/B00GDY55SY?dchild=1&keywords=3-24+Plastite+Screws&qid=1622398840&sr=8-6&linkCode=ll1&tag=eman04d-20&linkId=4df0ce2252142998bcd39c9157dc7131&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl - Wheels: Lego 24x14 Tire https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2334524.m570.l1313&_nkw=lego+24x14&_sacat=0&LH_TitleDesc=0&_osacat=0&_odkw=lego+424x14 **Tools** - M2 Tap https://www.amazon.com/s?k=m2+tap&linkCode=ll2&tag=eman04d-20&linkId=bcdaf9df5f19295df15c1c32efa8253f&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl **Electronics** - Flipper Servo: KST DS315MG or KST DS215MG (https://alofthobbies.com/kst-ds315mg-servo-48kg-666-oz-in-07sec-high-voltage.html) - Drive Motors: N20 Micro Gearmotor 30:1 or 1000rpm (https://www.amazon.com/s?k=m3x12+button+head&crid=281FDQW6M6BZJ&sprefix=m3x12+button+h,aps,214&linkCode=sl2&tag=eman04d-20&linkId=1a918eb2cff431d7274b84f3e42d7524&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl) - ESC: Endbots DESC https://www.endbots.com/collections/products/products/endbots-desc?variant=5580585992221 - or Malenki Nano: https://shop.bristolbotbuilders.com/product/malenki/ - Battery: Nano-tech 300mah 2S Lipo Pack (https://hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy-nano-tech-300mah-2s-45-90c-lipo-pack.html) You can use other servos like the Corona DS929HV for a cheaper alternative. However, you will need to play with the linkages to get full travel as they often come with a shorter servo arm. You can buy these wheels to save weight if needed. Although the lego wheels work great and are much cheaper SC-2110p ProComp (http://www.132slotcar.us/store/product_info.php?products_id=4523)
