Illuminated Lens Insert
Description
This is an Illuminated lens insert for the "Print-In-Place Iris Box (remix)" by LOBOCNC. Basic soldering skills are required to make this build. This build replaces the stock battery in the tea light with a high capacity rechargeable battery which is capable of providing many hours of light. Print All parts in Clear PLA, PETG, or Poly Carbonate Print the Print-In-Place Iris Box (remix) by LoboCNC at 150% scale Print the Lens Insert Top as instructed Print the Lens Insert bottom with 20% more infill Assembly Instructions: 1. Disassemble the tea light by unscrewing the the cover 2. Next remove the tea light PCB by unscrewing it from the housing. 3. Install the two battery holder cases on the lens insert bottom part with a screw and nut. 4. Solder one of the red and one of the black wires from each of the battery cases together 5. Solder the remaining two wires to the positive and negative connections on the PCB of the tea candle. 6. Place a drop of hot melt glue the on each of the led component on the tea and place the PCB in to the recess on the top lens insert. 7. Glue the top lens insert top the bottom lens insert 8. Install the batteries, and check the remote function 8. Carefully tuck the assembly into the Iris box BOM qty item name ASIN (1) Submersible LED Lights B07KB2HYY1 (2) 3V AAA Battery Holder Case B07VK59BMB (1) 850 mAH AAA Battery B00CWNMXQW (1) Number 3- 256 screw 3/8 inch long (not listed in the BOM) and mating nut.
