Ear Saver for Surgical Mask
Description
This is yet another version of the surgical mask relief band, or the 'Ear Saver'. This one lends itself to high volume 3D printing. Can fit 54+ bands on one plate (Ender 3). It takes 15 hrs to print as they are thick and wide (1.5mm x 10mm = 15mm^2), with 6 hooks. 0.3mm layer height, no infil, 2 line walls, The hooks provide captive retention for the mask elastic, where the elastic just 'clicks' in, both directions putting on / taking off, without having to see the insertion behind the head. Update on 4/22/2020 Added two versions. Both are thinner for more flexibility, and faster printing. Can now do 66pcs on the bed in 14hrs (see last picture). Version 4.0.4. vs. 4.0.5. - the only difference is the shape of the clip in that 4.0.5. clip comes to a tip but is more difficult to print on fast settings (visible striations around the clip tip).
