Preston Cinema HU3 Keychain
Description
Preston Handunit3 keychain. Modeled to scale, I personally like scaling it down to 17% for keychain size. At this scale, the keychain hole is 2.2mm in diameter. If you're using jump rings, to connect to other jewelry or keyrings, I recommend at least 8mm. The files include a completely solid design, and one that's split the handunit into two faces, and the knob as its own file. The threeway split allows for all three models to be printed face up for maximum detail and glued together. CASTING FROM METAL: I went through Shapeways. Just uploaded the HU3teenyperpsolidV1.stl to their site and had it case of nickel-coated steel at 17% scale. A very heavy option, but resulted in a super cool smooth silver finish for only $27. I don't recommend their aluminum casting as it's an extremely rough matte finish.
