Spyderco Sharpmaker 17 degree base add-on
Description
The original Sharpmaker kit only have 15° and 20° options, I wanted something in between, so I created this 17° add-on base. This base allows you to sharpen your knife at 17° per side (~34° total), and is designed to be used in conjunction with the Spyderco Sharpmaker sharpening system (you will need at least the sharpening rods, which can be purchased alone). The base clips into the Sharpmaker plastic cover, so you have something to hold on to while sharpening I use mostly the flat side of the rods when sharpening, so that's how the rod holes are oriented, I may add a model with reverse rod orientation later. I printed mine in PLA with 0.3 mm layer thickness, and so far it works great. 4/26/2020: added v2, with extended base for better stability. This one needs much larger build area to print
