Marble track - motorized lift - v3 - stand-alone height adjustable Gravitrax compatible!

Description

——————- ###Notification: motorized lift 2021 edition (v4) is now available and includes improvements over the v3 model### https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4751904 ——————- This is the fully revised version of the motorized lift for marble tracks! Where the previous model was able to be inserted into my basic six exit tile which is the foundation of all my marble component designs this version is a stand-alone version with its own base. (The previous model gave problems printing the connection part to the six exit tile, see comments). Another improvement are the connection pins. Version 1 had pins which were printed directly attached to the extender parts, causing this to break due to the layer orientation. This version uses separate pins which should be inserted in the connection holes of the extenders. This creates a much more robust construction. Further more I've improved the inputs and outputs of the lift. The balls are now better guided in and out causing a much smoother flow and less balls not being picked up by the coil part. And the last thing; It's better printable, no supports are needed anymore! Demo: https://youtu.be/58Mw2L7VRPM https://youtu.be/jyBhXFkG7jY https://youtu.be/M6Vu8oLQ4OM (legacy) https://youtu.be/oewZAYERE50 (legacy) ------- Update 16th of February I've added a new base and coil bottom part which improves the entering of balls (no 'pusher' ball needed anymore, single balls will continue now by themselves). Update 12th of February The new 2021 version has been released; https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4751904 Update 6th of February I'm working on a new version which will be released as a separate thing on thingiverse. I'll keep updating this version with minor changes. Please follow me on Facebook to keep track of my progress, https://www.facebook.com/JDO3D/ Update 14th of December Please try the new stabiliser system to stabilise the lift while still using the original lift parts. Update 15th of November I've updated the lengths of the followers and coils to have height differences of 15, 30, 60, 90 mm. Also the exits were already 30mm in height. The new input piece is now also 30mm in height. This promotes the modular construction of a tall lift. The parts are now named as version 3. Version 2 is still provided but as a zip file. Update 28th of October I guess people can't find the correct motor so here is the link to the shop I've ordered my motors from (30rpm, 6V) https://a.aliexpress.com/_B0L3B5 Update 22th of September Thanks for the input of Lucas Moraes Abarca I've created a piece which is similar like an exit but is actually an input. So if you use this higher than an exit it can feed balls back into the lift and let them exit through an exit at higher level. Therefor you can now have different height exits but also different height entries! Thanks Lucas! The Input part allows the lift to be used with multiple entry points and one (or more) exit points. Update 5th of September Version 2 is released! Please consider to support my design efforts, thanks! Update 11th of Augustus Due to some fragile elements in the construction I’ve decided to create version 2 of the lift. Still working on the design and prototyping. If you decide to print my lift then please wait for version 2. Update 21th of June: Major update for final design. Changed the ball input, to prevent blocking. Added an inner hole to the pins which connect the separate parts to make them stronger. The whole structure now needs to be build at the same level in order to close the structure with the top ring to improve stability. The exits can be at different heights, just switch the parts to get the desired height. The motor part is fitted for motor type: * Voltage: DC 6V * Material: Metal * Model: N20 * Revolving Speed: 30 RPM * Total Length: 36mm * Motor Size: 12mm(diameter)*26mm(height) * Shaft Size: 3mm(diameter)*10mm(length) The whole thing can now run autonomous without jamming. Update 20th June; Just received the motor, it works, but I should make some minor changes to the design to make it work autonomously. So wait a little while with printing this thing until the next update! Update 2020 apr 24; Motor rotor and coil bottom are now separate parts. I still need to receive and test it with the motor, but already worked through three prototypes to be able to lift the balls properly. ------- If you found this useful, please donate what you think it is worth to my paypal.me.
