Miniature Radiation Shield
Description
This is a design for a very small Stevenson style radiation shield for temperature and/or humidity sensors, which I adapted from another design (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3486326) to try to make it more effective at shielding sensors in the field and preventing them from heating due to solar radiation during the day. This shield was designed to be used in the Savannah of Brazil so it needed to be resilient and effective, BUT it is not perfect or fully tested. Do not use without testing first if you care about the reliability of your data, i.e. if this is for any professional research purpose. The upper part of this shield should be printed with 80-100% infill, while the base piece can be lower (40-50%), and I got it printed in ASA material, because this is more UV stable for long term use in the savannah. But this shield alone did not perform very well in lab tests. In addition, a piece of foil (stuck to the top of the top piece) was needed to reflect as much incident radiation as possible, and then it began to perform better in lab tests. This HAS NOT been tested yet in the field. It was tested in the lab, and performed well WITH the addition of foil.
