Case for LM2596 Buck Converter and Logic Level Converter

Case for LM2596 Buck Converter and Logic Level Converter

Description

This box was designed to hang on the t-slot extrusion channel on the side of my MK3s printer. It fits a logic level converter and LM2596, to run my WS2812 5v LED strip. I hung it below the Einsy enclosure. The LED strip is controlled by a Raspberry Pi running the 'RGB Status' plugin in Octopi. Box Assembly: • The buck converter screws to the box with two #4-40 x 1/4" screws • The pins that came with the level shifter are too tall for the box so I soldered wires directly to the board. • The logic lever shifter, I just super glued in the slot after soldering everything. • The lid attaches with four M3 x 5mm flat socket cap screws. • I created the schematic based on other schematics I found on the web. Of course the Raspberry Pi is being powered separately and I haven't shown that in the diagram. The led light bar I printed is from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3284730 Instead of using the aluminum u-channel, I printed my own from Cas56's design at https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/3267-led-light-bar-prusa-i3-mk2mk3/user-gcodes Links to hardware I used: WS2812 LED Strip: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01CDTEE5W/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Buck Converter: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B074J4DLWQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Logic Level Shifter: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07LG646VS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I also want to acknowledge I got the design of the t-slot hangers from some side boxes found at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2913700
