IR Filament Sensor Housing for Prusa Bondtech Mosquito extruder
Description
This is a remix of wschadow's remix (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3581912) of the original Bondtech IR sensor add-on. It is designed specifically for the Bondtech BMG Mosquito hotend (https://www.bondtech.se/en/product/prusa-i3-mk3s-mosquito-extruder-upgrade). The wschadow and original Bondtech IR sensor add-on hole spacings aren't the same as for the BMG Mosquito body. Which meant that the casing was only held on by a single M2.5 screw. The original Bondtech adapter-printer part was then also left with a great big hole where the ball bearing used to be. Changes: 1) moved the location of the M2.5 screw hole as it did not properly align with the corresponding hole in the Prusa Mosquito housing. 2) added a slot for a second square M3 nut for better attachment of the housing cover. 3) channeled out a slot under the smaller magnet to allow an M3 screw to secure the housing body to the Prusa Mosquito housing. 4) modified the adapter-printer part to slot a PTFE tube to minimise filament alignment issues. BOM 1x M3 18mm screw 1x M3 12mm screw 2x stainless steel M3 10mm screw 1x M2.5 10mm screw (I used the one supplied in the Slice Engineering pack) 1x approximately 14mm length of 4mm PTFE tube (ID 2mm) 2x M3 square nuts The bondtech level arm, and housing cover of choice are unchanged from wschadow's original design. Please refer to that thing to get the appropriate STL's (LeverBondTech.stl and SensorHousing-Cover.stl).
