Ames 2391375NL Hose Reel Auto-Track Hose Guide
Description
We have a couple of Ames Wrought Iron (design, it's plastic) 2391375NL Hose Reel that we've had pretty good luck with (the online reviews of it don't seem to be favorable though). One of the things we like about is is that the anchor points on it are quite solid, we have is screwed into the driveway out front and the deck in the back. The one issue that we have had with it though is the auto-track for winding the hose back up has stopped tracking. It appears that the part that rides along the track has worn down to the point where it's able to skip around in the track. Originally I had designed this as a full replacement part, but the hook just doesn't have enough strength as a 3D printed part. Also the casing on ours has a broken tab, and I need the space the flipper that the hook grabbed onto to run some zip-ties to hold it together. So far it seems to be working as well as the original, but time will tell if this is a viable replacement part. I printed this in PETG, I don't think PLA would cut it for this as it's a pretty high-wear part. I went with 100% infill on this, and you'll obviously need supports. I've printed it both in the orientation that the STL is in, and rotated 90 degrees so that the part that rids along the track is horizontal to the bed, I think it works better in that orientation. https://a360.co/2Y3Vsyp
