SUGGESTED USAGE: For stock printer: 2x BIBO_Fan_Mount_V8b.stl (or BIBO_Latching_Fan_Mount_V8C.stl) 1x BIBO_Snap_on_5015_duct_ultraslim_with_support_V8.stl for rear blower 1x BIBO_Snap_on_5015_duct_orig_fans_bearing_covers_thin_V8c.stl for front blower If you remove the bearing covers, you can use BIBO_Snap_on_5015_duct_ultraslim_V8c.stl for the front blower. If you remove the bearing covers, fan guards and small bushing in front of fans, you can use BIBO_Snap_on_5015_duct_ultraslim_with_support_V8.stl for the front blower. If you want to remove both extruder fans and replace with a blower, use: BIBO_Fan_Mount_double_V8.stl for the front mount (or BIBO_Latching_Fan_Mount_double_V8C.stl) BIBO snap on extruder blower mount tilt 18.stl for the blower I will eventually pare down the different versions. It is remixed from the referenced BIBO duct and snap on blower mount. I designed the mount to the BIBO. It's definitely not perfect, but I think it will work. Goals: No fasteners to connect to the blower No fasteners to connect the blower duct to the printer Mount slips on to a base connected to the BIBO carriage Lowest profile possible, shouldn't hit door or rods (not yet confirmed) With fan mount off, mount base does not block fan screws or nozzle height screws. Made to mount without the BIBO bearing covers, but will likely work with them. Printable without supports, even the test piece. I have measured and test fit many iterations and this is what I came up with. The final version has not been mounted and tested in use, yet. But I wanted to get this posted. Instructions: Print all objects in the provided orientation, no supports necessary. (except for the ultraslim version without support, there is also a version with built in support.) The base mounts to the BIBO carriage after removing the bearing covers (possibly optional) and bolts to the two inner bearing mount screws. Nuts go inside base. Wide side of base away from carriage. For the latching versions, the latch piece goes down first, and the base piece goes on top. To use the original screws, a 1mm spacer is needed under the screw head, below the carriage. You can use the small spacer from the original fans. The duct snaps on the 5015 blower. Then the duct/mount can be slipped on and off of the mount base with no tools. Should be the same for the rear blower. File notes: BIBO_Snap_on_5015_duct_V8.stl -- the duct that snaps on the blower. This one is for a BIBO without the bearing guards, and without the outer spacers and fan guards. BIBO_Fan_Mount_V8.stl -- the mount base that attaches to the BIBO carriage plate. BIBO_Fan_Mount_V8B.stl -- updated with larger holes for throat mount screws. BIBO_Fan_Mount_V8_4b.stl -- just the mount part of the duct. It can be printed first to check fit of the mount to the base before printing the entire duct. Not used in the actual mount. BIBO_Fan_Mount_double_V8.stl -- Double version base for future development. BIBO_Fan_Mount_V8B.stl -- updated with larger holes for throat mount screws. BIBO_Snap_on_5015_duct_ultraslim_V8.stl -- As thin as possible version -- blower touching edge of carriage. Will need to print with support for the crossbar. Will clear the Z bearing when used as rear duct. BIBO_Snap_on_5015_duct_ultraslim_with_support_V8.stl -- same thin version with added support. Break/cut out triangular support when done. Will clear the Z bearing when used as rear duct. BIBO_Snap_on_5015_duct_ultraslim_V8c.stl -- same as BIBO_Snap_on_5015_duct_ultraslim_with_support_V8.stl but with divots to clear the stock fan screw heads and still mount securely. BIBO_Snap_on_5015_duct_orig_fans_bearing_covers_offsetV8.stl -- Version to fit with original fans and bearing covers. Sticks out 2mm farther than the rest. BIBO_Snap_on_5015_duct_orig_fans_bearing_covers_thin_V8.stl -- super thin version to fit with original fans and bearing covers. BIBO_Snap_on_5015_duct_orig_fans_bearing_covers_thin_V8c_plus1mm.stl -- super thin version to fit with original fans and bearing covers, duct 1mm higher from bed. BIBO snap on extruder blower mount tilt 18.stl -- fits on double mount to replace extruder cooling fans with a single blower. BIBO_Latching_Fan_Mount_V8C.stl, BIBO_Latching_Fan_Mount_double_V8C.stl -- Latching versions of mounting blocks, each prints in two pieces. Comments, suggestions, and requests welcome.
