Hakko T12 Soldering Station

Hakko T12 Soldering Station

Description

This is a full guide for building your own clone of a Hakko T12 soldering station. Components you will need for this: 1. A printed case (from this page) 2. 24V 6A AC-DC power supply. I used this one: https://aliexpi.com/dcVy 3. Hakko T12 kit. I used this one: https://aliexpi.com/4TxG 4. Any flat AC cable with switch (for example https://aliexpi.com/iRBU) 5. 4 M3x5 screws for power supply mounting 6. 6 M3x16 screws for case assembly Assembly instructions (look at the previews): 1. Print and post-process the case. 2. Pre-assemble the T12 kit (instructions can be found on a product page). Check and calibrate it. 3. Install power supply in the bottom part of the case, put AC cable trough the backplate and connect it to the cooresponding terminals at the PS. Connect the unplugged power wire from T12 mainboard to the output of the power supply. Check polarity! 4. Set the backplate on its place (in the notch). 5. Assemble the frontplate: install the solder socket and tighten it. Then put an LED on it's place and set the mainboard in position. Install the washer and nut on the encoder and tighten. Then solder an LED and socket. 6. Plug in the mainboard power wire. 7. Line-up the plates and istall top part of the case. Use screws to assemble it together. 8. Enjoy soldering!
