Surgical Mask Storage Case
Description
Was asked through Facebook to help a nursing home whole needed 1000 protective wallets to store face masks. Along with many shortages is facemasks so the NHE (policy makers for the NHS) put forward that masks can be re-used. After a late night and some help from my young daughter we came up with this simple design. After 160 hours plus of printing we handed over 50 of these little cases (which elimnated the need for the 1000 pouches) last week to a very happy lady at the nursing home. A nurse also wanted some in Canada, so as us 3d printing people do I shared the design to 3D Printing Canada where some members are looking to help Printed at 80mm/s 20% infill (purely for speed) Skirt layer height 0.26mm 9(finer if you have the time) Printed well with PLA and also worked with Petg Plain lid included so these cases can be personalised for the users. Letters serve a second function - they make it easier to open the lid. Once the lid is slid on I found leaving it on (instead of fully withdrawing) alot easier simply for speed of use. Things to watch - warping will defo effect the little grooves that carry the lid Printing too fast will also cause problems with lid functionality. Note: I've increased the depth to 10.5mm when slicing which improves the lid and gives a little more depth Well, I hope it helps Happy printing, stay safe
