HP1653B Power Inlet
Description
Last year i bought a HP1653B logic analyzer and yesterday it released the magic smoke from power inlet. The offending item was Schaffner FN 393-2,5-05-12 which i found on web for around $47 without transport or taxes to Romania, which was almost the price of the unit. As i don't need the automatically switching of 110v/220v i decided to replace the unit with a C14 male ac power supply socket for panel mount a ON/OFF switch and a 3A slow fuse. For connections i kept only the following pins: 1 & 2 for mains voltage **(220V)** and 5 for earth.
