Tevo Tarantula Dual Y-Axis Mounts
Description
Note: I will add images of the actual print and dual rail system when my printer decides it wants to cooperate. These mounts are meant to mount the bed to a dual Y-rail system. They were designed around the x-shaped aluminum Y-carriage, but will work with any carriage that has 170mm between the left and right mounting holes (See "Carriage Mount" section). I have included a design that works with the standard tarantula brackets (see "Mounting Brackets" section). I have included a version with screw holes for mounting to a surface. I have also included rail support pieces, for mounting the new rails to the bottom x rails. You will need at least four complete mounts (2 in front and 2 in back). Everything should be printed as seen in the images above. ###Additional Part(s) Required: - 16x 10mm M4 bolts - 16x M4 T-nuts - 8x metal washers - 8x mounting screws (optional) - 2x 500mm 2020 v-slot rails (see "Rails" section) ###Rails: You will need two 500mm v-slot 2020 rails (or one 1000mm rail and a metal-cutting saw). I found them cheapest here: http://makerstore.cc/product/v-slot-20-x-20mm/ ###Carriage Mount: If you have the acrylic carriage, you will need to print this adapter that accommodates the new spacing and drill some holes through the carriage (pretty simple if you follow the instructions): https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1933208 (I found the rail mounts themselves to be more filament-consuming) ###Mounting Brackets: I’ve included mounts that are raised 5mm to accommodate the popular Tarantula stabilizing brackets by ThingRob. These mounts have two little feet that slide under the middle y-rail. ###Misc: You may need to put a metal washer between the mount and rail for each bolt. I have included the design files (Fusion 360) if you wish to change anything. If you do, upload it as a remix so I can see your work! If you find any flaws with these parts, let me know (in a comment), and I will try to fix them.
