DIY 36W UVC sterilizer germicidal desklamp hack
Description
Here's a super simple modification to a desklamp that allowed me to attach a 36W UVC germicidal tube (commonly found in HVAC systems) to my desk lamp.There are only 5 parts making this up. Optionally you can connect this to a Alexa/Google enabled smart-plug and you can remotely fire the lamp. I use it in my office at the desk and workbench and remotely trigger them before I come into the office. BTW the lamp itself is well-reviewed and totally worth it all on its own. Fair price and works nicely, I've had mine for over a year and still very satisfied. I use it to augment normal cleaning during these Coronavirus times. Total cost <$40 compared to about $240 for the Honeywell UV100A1059
