Customizable Stacking Bins

Customizable Stacking Bins

Description

I wanted some bins that were easy to move around in a tool cabinet I have while also being fairly easy and quick to print. I originally built this in Fusion 360, and most of the photos are of that variant. However, I did not find it easy to export different sizes without spending unneeded time in Fusion. This is my first attempt at making something usable from OpenSCAD, please leave any feedback so I can improve this model and any future designs. One thing I'm still working on is a way to easily label the bins. If the facet edge is large enough a label can be stuck fairly easily, but moving the bins around will likely wear the label off. Please leave a comment if there are any ideas on this. ---- ### Recommended Starting Points Size - Up to you and what you're trying to fill. 75-100-30 is a good starting ground. Wall Thickness - I'd recommend 1 - 2mm Facets - I'd recommend starting with 3mm, this is the height of the triangle, not the hypotenuse To make bins compatible with each other, set the Length of the boxes to the same. This will allow the stacked boxes to slide over each other. ---- ### Pre-Sized Files I've also included the pre-sized files, the filename structure is as follows as an example: 75x-100y-30z_2.stl Width = 75mm Length = 100mm Height = 30mm Separations = 2 ### Happy Printing and Organizing!
