Brinsea Incubator DHT22 Temperature/Humidity Sensor Adapter

Brinsea Incubator DHT22 Temperature/Humidity Sensor Adapter

Description

We borrowed a Brinsea Octagon-20 incubator to hatch a few chicken eggs. We thought it might be a fun educational project to build an environmental monitoring system for it. Part of that involved a DHT-22 combined temperature and humidity sensor to monitor the internal conditions. This adapter enables you to mount the sensor in the place where the wet bulb thermometer adapter normally mounts. It has the same fixing holes. We used hot glue to seal around the sensor, but I'm sure there are many other methods that would work. If I was going to be using it regularly then I would probably use epoxy resin, and pot the wires in properly. It has been running for over a week now with no problems. It was designed in Freecad, and I have included the freecad file in case you want to modify it to your needs.
