Ender 3 Main Board & RPI4 Mod
Description
This is a mainboard relocation platform with standoffs for a Raspberry Pi 4 to go in the Ender 3. To be used in conjunction with the new cover to allow the RPI4 to fit inside the case. I did not like the options that were available to mount the Raspberry Pi with a USB cable running from the front of the mainboard box to the RPI, so I designed a couple of parts to fit the RPI4 inside of the mainboard housing and with a short custom USB Cable to make the corners, I am able to house it all inside of the same box. This allows use of the stock fan pull air from the front directly over the RPI4. The side vents on my printer are blocked with the use of some fabric tape to maximize airflow over the boards. I have not encountered issues with the exhaust causing a cool spot on the bed, however I am currently redesigning this cover to mount a 5015 fan to exhaust out the side of the cover. There are cutouts on the side for a ribbon cable to plug in to a TFT, however I have not mounted mine yet as I have not found the need for it.
