Fully printed foldable turnstile antenna

Fully printed foldable turnstile antenna

Description

This is a foldable antenna using measuring tape and tuned to 137MHz. It's designed to be used with a Cullmann tripode. Pieces required: -RG174 cable or similar with an SMA terminal, around 14cm, this lenght is not critical. -36cm of RG174 cable as quarter wave delay cable -52cm of measuring tape for each of the four antenna terminals -Twelve DIN7981 2.9x16 screws Mount it using this picture as reference: https://www.researchgate.net/figure/Turnstile-antenna_fig3_224341326 Important Tips: -Piece C has an hexagonal shape so the SMA connector fixes in the hole. If you are having problems due to your printer's precision, use alternative piece C -If it is hard to roll the antenna inside a roller, cut a bit the corners (cut.jpg) or bend it a bit upwards (bend.jpg) -Pay attention to the layer heights specified in each piece's name. -If the SMA connector won't go though the hole, use a drill to sand a bit this hole. -It's recommended to use a 3mm drill to sand all circular holes. Do NOT sand any of the square holes. -Add a bit of PVC tape to the cable joints so they don't touch, see picture.
