Ender 3 double Y rail guides

Description

I printed in 0.3 - it's really up to you Files are in 3MF - it holds more information for better quality prints - you can set Cura to open it This one is printed in PLA and it should work fine for 60c bed temp - now, after testing it I'll print it from PETG or ABS to deal with higher bed temps - it is light ! but works perfectly and uses minimal material, you gain few millimeter over stock setup - I'm not sure it's a must-have but I couldn't resist it, I think the bed has more stability to it like that plus it took 80gr off it which is a nice bonus, bed is running smoother than ever, I can tell you that - I wasn't using the gauge for installing, I put the rails in place with only one of the center bolts slightly tightened and one on each end, I centered the rails on the aluminum frame and ran the gantry back and forth tightening the end bolts gently furthermore, when everything ran smoothly all the way I tightened the rest of the bolts occasionally checking it runs nice and smooth. make sure to first clean the protective oil the rails come with before even starting the installation process - it is not meant to stay and doesn't serve as a lubricant. In case the guide block came out to reinstall it laying on it's back and make sure the balls are not falling (if so reinsert them to the right side with care) - best oil for maintenance is a bicycle chain oil - a drop only on each and make sure it gets to both sides of the rails BOM: 2x MGN 12h x 30cm guide rails 4x M5x10mm 4x M5 nuts - preferably nylock nuts 8x M5 washers 8x M3x8 hex screws
