Description
DIY shield for conventional ball hats designed for non-medical use. Please use at your own discretion and adjust shield on your hat as needed to ensure adequate coverage. Remember to sanitize shield and parts as necessary. Please read PDF file attached for more detailed instructions. This design was produced by a team at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada and permission was given to post as open source. Please feel free to print and provide shields to non-medical front line workers that need these and also yourselves as required. Printing notes: • Print orientation is important for max strength. • 0.2 layer height for aesthetics. 0.3 is likely OK for strength. • Light support recommended but only touching build plate. • Be sure to 'crack' the hinge loose after printing. Best to grab by the hat side and flex the shield zip tie half on a table or flat surface.
