coffee grinder dust cover lid - Sunbeam EM0480
Description
Lid to go on the coffee container that comes with the EM0480 (identical, as far as I can tell, to the earlier models of Sunbeam coffee grinder like the EM0440). If you let the grinder discharge directly into the container, you end up with fine coffee dust all over your benchtop. With this, the dust is all contained. The flexible rubber spout from the grinder fits inside the spout on the lid. Once you've finished grinding, I recommend giving the grinder and the container a good tap, to ensure that: 1. there is no coffee left inside the spout 2. the coffee inside the container has settled and compacted a little (when it is discharged from the grinder, it is all aerated and fluffy, so as soon as you tap it it settles, causing the air inside the bulk to shoot out, taking with it a puff of fine coffee. 3. there is no coffee on the lid or upper walls of the container. I've found these to be the three key sources of dust, once you've contained it.
