Modular Raid Disk enclosure for single boards
Description
These enclosures allow for multiple disks to be stacked and attached to a an Odroid C2,C4 or RaspberryPi B+ board. A left base will fit the Lid&Base from each of the boards. The Lid&Base isn't included here but is included in my other designs. Depending on how many disks you intend having in your raid start with either the right or left base.. A Right Mid section will fit to a left section below it... So for:- 1 x 2.5" Disk -> Left Base + Lid&Base 2 x 2.5" Disk -> Right Base + Left Mid Section + Lid&Base 3 x 2.5" Disk -> Left Base + Right Mid Section + Left Mid Section + Lid&Base 4 x 2.5" Disk -> Right Base + Left Mid Section + Right Mid Section + Left Mid Section + Lid&Base ........ And so on I'm not sure about heat at this stage. I have tested but only under lightish loads. These may suite SSD drives better than spinning disk. I have included a vented Left Base that may help if overheating is an issue. Probably a good idea to include a 50x50 or 60x60 fan too that should move some airflow down through the stack. Power from the GPIO Designed to use 3mm x 25mm cap screws for joining the enclosures together and 3mm x 8mm countersunk hex screws to hold the drive into the enclosure The LeftLRGE base is extra depth for those fatter higher capacity drives I use a SATA controller from here but any R/A controller will probably fit https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000414988962.html
