Bartop Arcade with 7" Display
Description
This is a nine-piece barter arcade that I designed around a specific screen, joystick and buttons. Review the Bill of Materials (BOM) for details on some of the hardware used. This print requires a bed of at least 300mm x 300mm. I printed on a Creality CR-10. All of the pieces except for one can be printed without supports. The Back Door only requires supports underneath the hinge pins as they don't touch the build plate. This is a very small amount of supports. The rest of the parts were designed to be flat on at least one side and have angles that eliminate the need for supports. The parts assemble on a tongue & groove style, but adhesive is required for final assembly. I was able to print and assemble all parts with minimal razor scraping around some of the tongue & groove areas. The tolerances of your printer will determine the level of clean-up effort needed but it shouldn't take much. Most of the parts are printed with infill around 20-25%. I did use features in Cura to increase infill around structural areas (where heat set threaded inserts go) and across the control panel to provide some extra rigidity. Parts cannot be scaled or they will not fit together properly or accept the associated purchased parts (screen, joystick, buttons, magnets, threaded inserts, etc.) This is the first multi-part thing I've ever designed. It isn't perfect but as you can see from the photos, the end result is definitely achievable. A short video of the system booting up and it rotating on a turntable can be found here: https://youtu.be/i7ucNRbdBj0
