XCarve Magnetic J-Tech Laser mount for DeWalt
Description
I printed the magnetic mount this is based on and experienced a degree of wobble which translated into my cuts. I redrew the whole thing from scratch and added the two "web" structures to make the front plate more rigid. I also beefed up the wall thickness to 3mm throughout with support for the magnets bringing the actual mount up to 5mm. This allowed me to try 8x3mm magnets and then add another set of 8x3mm magnets to boost holding power. Cut & fill speeds are now up around 8000mm/m in Lightburn on my XCarve (2015). Drawn in Fusion 360 which I am currently trying to learn. Enjoy the print and comment freely as I would love to get some feedback on this effort.
